VibeGrid Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, downloading, or using VibeGrid and associated backend synchronization services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any of these terms, please do not use our services.
How your data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Minimum Age
You must be at least 13 years old to use VibeGrid, or older where the country you live in sets a higher minimum age for consenting to online services on your own. If you are under 18, you may use VibeGrid only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. We may close an account if we learn the person using it is below the minimum age.
2. Listening Rooms & User Conduct
VibeGrid offers real-time rooms where users may listen synchronously and chat. When hosting or participating in a room, you agree NOT to:
- Broadcast hate speech, harassment, or unlawful content in chat or room titles.
- Attempt to abuse room server sockets or exploit synchronization protocols.
- Impersonate other artists, creators, or administrators.
Room Inactivity & 14-Day Automatic Expiration Policy
To maintain healthy socket clusters and prevent stale room codes, listening rooms with no active playback or participant engagement for 14 continuous days are automatically expired and deleted from our servers. Room creators will receive automated push notification reminders prior to expiration to allow them to revive their room.
3. Intellectual Property & Audio Rights
• Local File Ownership: Users are solely responsible for ensuring they possess legitimate rights to local audio files indexed through the offline media player.
• No Unlawful Redistribution: VibeGrid is an audio synchronization utility and does not sell, license, or claim ownership over third-party musical compositions.
Copyright Complaints
If you believe content shown through VibeGrid infringes your copyright, write to the address in section 13 with the subject "Copyright Complaint", identifying the work, the content complained of, your contact details, and a statement that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.
Because music plays from third-party platforms we do not control, a complaint about that media should also be sent to the hosting platform, which alone can remove it. We remove infringing material posted by our own users, and we terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
4. Account Suspension, Administrative Deletion & Role Security
To protect the integrity of the VibeGrid ecosystem and protect users from abuse, the platform administrator (Mithinvel / VibeGrid Admin) maintains absolute authority to supervise, restrict, suspend, or permanently delete user accounts without prior notice.
A. Administrator Right to Terminate & Eradicate Accounts
Administrators possess full authority to permanently purge user records for violations including, but not limited to: hate speech or harassment in chat, socket-flooding or server DDoS attacks, unauthorized automated scripting, circumvention of rate limits, or posting infringing content. Administrative deletion completely revokes the user's credentials from Firebase Authentication, deletes their profile document in Cloud Firestore, immediately terminates all active sessions, and dismantles any hosted listening rooms.
B. Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) & Escalation Safeguards
System roles (e.g. admin) confer root privileges over database records, user moderation, and broadcast notifications. Role changes are governed under multi-step administrative controls requiring explicit verification and commitment. Any attempt by unauthorized parties to spoof administrative claims, manipulate client-side tokens, inject malicious headers, or bypass role checks is strictly prohibited and constitutes an unlawful security breach resulting in immediate permanent ban and reported legal escalation.
Terminated accounts are not eligible for restoration. Any active premium privileges or trials attached to an administratively terminated account are forfeited immediately.
5. Price & Paid Features
VibeGrid is free to use. Every feature described in the app is available at no cost, and we do not currently charge for anything.
We may introduce paid features in future. If we do, the price and what it includes will be shown clearly before you are asked to pay, any purchase will go through the app store's own billing system, and nothing you already have will be taken away and put behind a payment without notice.
Free trials or promotional access granted before that point do not create an obligation on either side to continue them.
6. Music & Third-Party Content
Music in VibeGrid is played through the official YouTube embedded player. VibeGrid does not host, store, or distribute any music, and we do not own the recordings you listen to.
By using VibeGrid you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Content is owned by the people who published it and may be edited, restricted, or removed by them at any time — a song that plays today may not play tomorrow, and that is outside our control.
You may not use VibeGrid to download, record, re-upload, or otherwise copy the content it plays.
7. Reporting & Moderation
Room names and chat messages are written by users, not by us. We do not review them before they appear.
If you see something abusive, illegal, or infringing, use Report inside the room — the report reaches us directly, and the room you reported is not told who filed it. You can also write to the address in section 13 with the room code and roughly when it happened. We review every report and may remove content, close a room, or suspend an account, and we aim to act on reports of objectionable content within 24 hours. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users.
You can leave any room at any time.
8. Service Provided "As Is"
VibeGrid is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted, that any particular song will be available, or that it will be free of errors.
Features may change or be withdrawn as the app develops.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent the law allows, VibeGrid and its developer are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service — including lost data, lost profits, or content that becomes unavailable.
Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Ending Your Account
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete Account in the app. This permanently removes your profile, your rooms, and the data associated with them.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why where we reasonably can.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes will be subject to the courts of Tamil Nadu, India.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the app changes. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and we will announce material changes inside the app before they take effect. Continuing to use VibeGrid after that means you accept the updated terms.
