VibeGrid Rules & Guidelines
How VibeGrid listening rooms work, host controls, and community etiquette.
1. How Listening Rooms Work
- Host Authority: The room host controls the master playback timeline, track queue order, and room settings.
- Listener Sync: All connected participants sync with the host's timestamp down to millisecond accuracy.
- Collaborative DJing: When enabled by the host, guests can submit song suggestions and vote on queue priorities.
2. Audio Engine & Foreground Policy
VibeGrid offers two distinct playback experiences:
Local Music Library
Plays user-owned MP3/FLAC files on the device with background notification controls via FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK.
Live Room Stream Sync
Coordinates real-time audio playback clocks between connected users over WebSockets without unauthorized downloading.
3. Community Standards
We are committed to maintaining a welcoming, friendly audio sanctuary:
- Harassment, offensive nicknames, or hate speech in room chat will result in immediate ban.
- Spamming room invitations or creating malicious audio feedback loops is strictly prohibited.
